Yesterday the D'ARC Foundation was inaugurated, established through the commitment of Giovanni and Clara Floridi, a new space dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of contemporary art in Rome.
We are pleased to announce that Cécile Beau's work "Vallen" (2009) has joined the collection.
The piece features a puddle of murky water tainted with India ink on a black lacquered wooden support. Occasionally, a drop falls onto the puddle.
The concept aims to create a space, a moment of suspension—a delicate line between a fictional drop and a real body of water, between the sound of a specific action and the outcome of that very action, which is its reaction.
Cécile Beau "Vallen," 2009, wood, India ink, sound device, 120 x 100 cm
