The exhibition project brings together six artists: Marco Emmanuele (1986, Catania), Luca Grechi (1985, Grosseto), Giulia Marchi (1976, Rimini), Elisabeth Scherffig (1949, Düsseldorf), Milan Vagač (1987, Bratislava) and Claudio Verna (1937, Guardiagrele).

For the 13th edition of ArtCity Bologna - the programme of exhibitions, events and initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Bologna, in collaboration with BolognaFiere on the occasion of Arte Fiera, coordinated by Settore Musei Civici Bologna, Area Arte Moderna e Contemporanea under the artistic direction of Lorenzo Balbi - we will welcome you to the gallery with the recently inaugurated exhibition by Elisabeth Scherffig entitled ‘Observatorium’ curated by Angela Madesani. We will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., also on Sunday.
In addition, on Saturday 8 February, on the occasion of ART CITY WHITE NIGHT, the gallery will be open non-stop until midnight and we invite you from 9 a.m. for breakfast!

Please note that Greta Schödl will be present in the exhibition with the work ‘Bidone’, the subject of the performance that the artist held last year on the occasion of ArtCity 2024.
The exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Bologna. Over 70 artists, more than 100 works and archive documents to trace the history of Italian art from the 1950s to the present day through the theme of irony.
The exhibition is part of the institutional programme of ART CITY Bologna 2025 realised on the occasion of Arte Fiera, with the support of the main sponsor Gruppo Hera and TRUST for Contemporary Art.
