Giuseppe Pietroniro was born in Canada in 1968 and lives and works in Rome.

Giuseppe Pietroniro’s research has always focused on a constant practice of reconfiguration of space, and of rebellion from classic perspective norms. Since the nineties, the artist has experimented with different mediums. Through photography, drawing, installation and sculpture he investigates reality as a form of illusion, visually describing it in conceptual terms, also creating perspective and architectural games that are able to create spaces and shapes that warp perception.

His work focuses on creating new points of view as well as the “archeological” use of collages made out of layers and juxtapositions. Each element carries a specific symbolic component and a number of different features which visually embody the possibility of making reality malleable, creating illusory perspectives and spaces.
