We are pleased to announce our participation in miart, which this year will be held from 12 to 14 April 2024.
LABS will participate with the works of two artists with whom it has had the pleasure of collaborating for some time: Marc Angeli and Henry Chapman!
The painting of Marc Angeli (Brussels, 1954) is intimate and characterised by the use of only natural materials such as beeswax, wine, pigments and wood blocks. Angeli loves to observe and is not looking for something, rather he is in the mood to receive, to welcome, to relate, in a wordless dialogue with the phenomena around him.
In the paintings of Henry Chapman (Brooklyn, 1987), description embodies time: notational, calligraphic, and extralinguistic. His research is attentive to the interaction between forms, and in his works current social and political issues and problems emerge with surprising force through the use of colour.
