We are pleased to announce that Paula Santomé (b. 1994, Spain) has been awarded the Manor Prize for Art Basel 2027, one of Switzerland’s most prestigious awards dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art.
Established in 1982 by Philippe Nordmann, the prize was created with the aim of providing a platform for young Swiss artists. The prize includes an exhibition and a publication. The exhibition is scheduled for fall 2027 at the Kunstmuseum Basel.
Santomé lives and works in Basel and belongs to a young generation of promising contemporary artists who explore themes such as corporeality, transformation, and materiality. To this end, she develops a personal visual language in which organic forms, tactile qualities, and poetic references intertwine.
