Carolina graduated in Social Communication (1999) from Mackenzie University. She attended the studio of the artist Maurício Parra (2017-2019), received a scholarship from the Independent Spaces Notice for the metal engraving course with Ulysses Bôscolo at the Atelier Piratininga (2019) and attended free courses at Sesc Pompéia, MuBE, Museu Lasar Segall and MAM. Between 2019 and 2021 she attended the Free Ceramics course held by the artist Brisa Noronha at Hermes Artes Visuais. She is currently part of Projeto Massapê, a collective studio run by artists.

The images proposed by Carolina Colichio are the result of daily exercises of observation and listening to one’s own perceptions of reality, evoking relationships between materiality and memory. Her main mediums of work are painting, sculpture, drawing, video and installation.

Carolina invents fictional archaeologies, revealing creatures that inhabit zones of fusion between organic and mineral matter, as if they had been deposited by ancestral geological realms emerging from multiple time eras. Her experiments with ceramic, porcelain, glazes, and encaustic not only expand her material vocabulary—initiated with watercolor at the beginning of her journey—but also reinforce the presence of warped time in her compositions, offering a space of convergence where past, present, and future intertwine.
