Julia Huete graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, where she also completed a Master’s degree in Art Direction and is currently finishing her PhD. She has participated in international exchange programmes with FBAUP in Porto and UDG in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Her work, primarily focused on abstraction, is grounded in a range of manual techniques, such as textiles, collage, drawing, painting, and sculpture, always trying to understand it as a language. She likes to delve into which are the most elementary characteristics of each discipline to reflect with them in an aesthetic and cognitive sense. 

Her project in collaboration with artisans led to her receiving recognition at ARCO Madrid.
